I work as a member of the Inuyama City Board of Education since 2000 and am engaged in an educational administration practically. This is a rare thing in Japan that a university professor work works as a member of board of education. I want to utilize academic study for public education reform in Japan, applying a theory of education to a local educational administration. Because a theory and the practice of the educational administration were isolated, an educational administration theory was not utilized for a real educational administration. On other hand, the educational administration theory did not learn most from the practice of education and the educational administration. I am convinced that it is important that I establish “theory into practice” and “learn from practice.”
