 西田保
教授：西田 保（にしだ たもつ） 東京教育大学大学院体育学研究科 博士（体育学）
スポーツ心理学および体育心理学の研究分野で、達成動機づけや学習意欲に関する研究を行っている。具体的には、スポーツにおける動機づけのメカニズム、体育における学習意欲検査の開発、学習意欲の喚起に関する実践的研究などである。また、これまでは児童・生徒のスポーツ参加や動機づけを中心に検討してきたが、最近では研究対象を拡大し中高年者のスポーツ参加を規定する要因などの研究も試みている。さらには、スポーツ選手のメンタル・サポートに関する研究にも積極的に取り組んでいる。
