Koji Ishida, Ph.D., Professor
Master course; Graduate School of Education, Kobe University
Degree; Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from Nagoya University, Graduate school of Medicine
My major interest is cardio-respiratory responses to exercise in man. Especially I have been interested and investigated in the initial ventilatory and heart rate responses at the onset of exercise within 20 seconds because of their simple but mysterious mechanisms.
I also have been interested in and studied the effects of deconditiong, such as detraining and bedrest, on cardio-respiratory and neuro-muscular functions.
